c) Set to ‘set’ and ‘unset’ state
With short pressing (about 0.5 sec.) of the ‘Reset’ key the Mini alarm module will go to ‘set’ state. The ‘set’
condition is shown by blinking signal of the red LED. By pressing the reset button again for short duration,
the module goes to ‘unset’ state again.
System condition red LED activity
entry or exit delay running double blink pulses
module in 'set' state single blink pulses
alarm is / was triggered red LED lit
d) Using the exit / entry delay
After going to ‘set’ state, the module will stay in ‘exit delay’ status for the dened duration. During this time
any trigger signal on input 1 is ignored.
The use of this function is to allow the user to leave the supervised area thru a door controlled with a sensor
connected to input 1.
For use of this module with the modular casing a special knob to t on the switch plunger is included with
this product.
The modular casing grants the touch safe enclosure which is required if the module is to be used with mains
current.
The modular casing comes with mounting clips to attach the case on standardized DIN-mounting rails with
30 mm width.
The input terminals for the signaling lines must not be connected with any other voltage source!
If the ‘exit delay’ period is over and the system in ‘set’ condition, a trigger signal on input 1 will start the ‘entry
delay’ phase. For the preset time the activation of the output relay is suppressed giving the owner the chance
to switch the system to ‘unset’ state after entering thru a door with sensor connected to input 1.
While the system is in ‘set’ status, an trigger signal on line 2 always will immediately the Alarm output to be
activated instantly.
Assembly of the rotary knobs on the module
To install the rotary knobs on the module with correct orientation of the arrows it is recommended to rst turn
both potentiometers all the way to the left rstly, removing the knobs again and re-insert with arrow pointing
at ‘zero’ position as shown on the printed front panel.
The RFID access control module is designed to t perfectly into the modular casing available with order
number BN 1840878. A printed and cut to shape front panel to t on the case is supplied with this product.

Disposal
This symbol must appear on any electrical and electronic equipment placed on the EU market.
This symbol indicates that this device should not be disposed of as unsorted municipal waste
at the end of its service life.
Owners of WEEE (Waste from Electrical and Electronic Equipment) shall dispose of it separately
from unsorted municipal waste. Spent batteries and accumulators, which are not enclosed by
the WEEE, as well as lamps that can be removed from the WEEE in a non-destructive manner,
must be removed by end users from the WEEE in a non-destructive manner before it is handed
over to a collection point.
Distributors of electrical and electronic equipment are legally obliged to provide free take-back of waste.
Conrad provides the following return options free of charge (more details on our website):
- in our Conrad ofces
- at the Conrad collection points
- at the collection points of public waste management authorities or the collection points set up by
manufacturers or distributors within the meaning of the ElektroG
End users are responsible for deleting personal data from the WEEE to be disposed of.
It should be noted that different obligations about the return or recycling of WEEE may apply in countries
outside of Germany.

Explanation of symbols
The symbol with the lightning in the triangle is used if there is a risk to your
health, e.g. due to an electric shock.
The symbol with the exclamation mark in the triangle is used to indicate important information in
these operating instructions. Always read this information carefully.
Safety instructions
Read the operating instructions carefully and especially observe the safety information.
If you do not follow the safety instructions and information on proper handling in this
manual, we assume no liability for any resulting personal injury or damage to property.
Such cases will invalidate the warranty/guarantee.
• The handling of products operating with electric current requires you to follow the rules from
VDE such as VDE 0100, VDE0550/0551, VDE 0700, VDE 0711 and VDE 0860 or other local
rules in your country.
• These modules are not designed and authorized for use in life support or life saving
applications! Do not use the product for applications in which a temporary or permanent failure
or malfunction could cause damage to persons or propery.
• If the module is used to switch currents greater 24V it is necessary to have the installation
done with no voltage applied and performed by a trained professional authorized for such
work. The module may only be used in such application if it was installed in a safe to touch
enclosure.
• The module must only be used in dry and clean environment. The use near water, heavy dirt
and/or high humidity is dangerous and not permitted.
• The product must not be used in conjunction with any type of ammable liquid or gas or other
environment with risk of spark triggered explosions.
• Never exceed the limits or ratings listed in the ‘Technical Data’ section at the end of this user
guide.
• If the module is used in schools or educational facilities or similar institutions the operation
must be supervised by trained and authorized staff.
• The product itself and all parts thereof (including packing material) are not suitable toys for
childern! (choking hazard, risk of electric shock, ...).
Operation
a) Learning the normal (quiet) condition for input lines
The Mini alarm module has connections for two signalling loops with two contacts each. There are various
congrations possible:
• The contacts are not connected in quiet state and connecting the contacts will trigger the alarm (normally
open mode)
• The contacts are connected in quiet state and disconnection of the contacts will trigger the alarm (normally
closed mode)
• The contacts are connected with an resistor (recommendation 2k Ohm). Both attempts of manipulation,
disconnection and short circuit of the contacts would trigger an alarm if this mode is used.
Both alarm inputs can be used in different conguration mode if desired.
The Mini alarm module can learn the quiet state of the input lines by pressing the ‘Reset’ button for about 5
seconds until the red and yellow LED both light up. The module reads the status of the lines (open, closed or
connected with resistor) and takes this condition as reference for quiet state.
b) Display of input conditions
As long as the Mini alarm module is in ‘unset’ state (red LED off) the yellow LED indicates the condition of
both inputs and shows if they are ‘quiet’ or ‘triggered’.
Input condition yellow LED activity
input 1 triggered, input 2 quiet single blink pulses
input 1 quiet, input 2 triggered double blink pulses
both inputs triggered yellow LED lit
