Press TV/VCR to select

return to normal TV screen.
NICAM STEREO broadcast
"NICAM ST" illuminates when
a NICAM STEREO broadcast
signal is received.
NICAM OFF
It will be displayed for the
NICAM signal when the
"NICAM OFF" is selected in
menu screen.
PLAYBACK
Selection of audio channels - audio channel is selected with AUDIO
SELECT according to the chart below.
Hi-Fi signal indication
Press DISPLAY.
It will be displayed for approx. 4
seconds when playing Hi-Fi
video cassette tapes.
NICAM STEREO RECORDING AND PLAYBACK
RECORDING
This unit is capable of recording sound in Hi-Fi system. NICAM
STEREO broadcasts are recorded in its original sound system
regardless of the setting. If you wish to record NICAM
programmes, select NICAM "AUTO" as follows.
It is only advisable to switch off NICAM if you are experiencing
noise interference (popping) associated with poor NICAM
reception.
NOTES:
• When you play a tape recorded in mono, the
sound is always played back in mono regard-
less of the AUDIO select setting.
• If the sound is distorted when playing back
the tape recorded by other Hi-Fi VTR, adjust
with TRK+ or – .
