Override Calls
Note
The stations indicated in the sample LCDs (
203
,
204
,
205
, and
210
) are
examples, not handset defaults.
The available override features are:
€ Busy Override
– sends muted ring tones to a busy station to indicate that a call
is waiting. The muted ring is programmed for each station as two muted rings
only or continued muted rings until the call is answered. The muted ring can be
sent to the telephone speaker or to the telephone handset/headset and speaker.
€ DND Override
– sends a tone to an idle or busy station in the DND mode to
indicate that a call is coming in. Your handset can also be programmed to block
DND Override from other telephones.
€ Executive Override
– enters an established conversation. Your handset can
also be programmed to block Executive Override. The Privacy on Line feature
does not block this feature.
€ Privacy Override
– enters an established call on a private common CO Line
button, except common [DNs] that are always private. Up to two stations can
enter an existing CO line-to-station call (up to three stations can be connected to
a CO line).
You can also use this feature if the station that is already connected to the CO
line is in the Privacy Release mode. Stations with Privacy Release can enable
calling stations to enter their conversations, even if the station entering the
conversation is not programmed for Privacy Override.
Note
Privacy Override is blocked by DND.
€ Toll Restriction Override
– restricts stations from making toll calls. Each
station is enabled or denied specific area and office codes, long distance
information calls, international calls and/or operator-assisted calls. You can
completely override Toll Restriction at selected stations or you can change the
station Toll Restriction class. The station resumes its normal class at the
conclusion of the call.
