Check the following guide for the possible cause of a problem before contacting service.

• Operate within Approx. 7 Meters or reduce the light in the room.
The remote control does not function. • Clear the path of the beam. 13
• The batteries are weak. Replace the batteries.
• Check the batteries are insetted correctly.
No CATV reception. • Check all CATV connections.
• Station or CATV system problems, try another station. 16,17
TV recording does not work. • The erase prevention tab of the video cassette is broken off. 29,34
• The unit is in the external input mode.

Timer recording does not work. • The recording stardend time is not set correcdy. 37

• The unit cannot play DVD-ROMs, etc.
Some discs may not do some of the functions.
The S-VIDEO/COMPONENT selector is not set correctly
• The setup does not match your TV.
