4 Replacement Procedures 4.11 Display Assembly
Installing the Display assembly
The following describes the procedure for installing the display assembly (See Figure 4-23 to
4-25).
1. (For wireless LAN models only)
Pass the wireless LAN cables through the slot near the center of the base assembly.
2. Install the display assembly on the base assembly from the rear of the computer and
secure them with the following screws.
• M2x8B BIND screw x1
• M2.5x8B THIN BIND screw x1
3. Close the display and turn the computer face down. Secure the base assembly with
the following screws from the bottom.
• M2.5x6B THIN BIND screw x9 (“6” in the figure)
• M2.5x14B THIN BIND screw x5 (“14” in the figure)
• M2.5x18B THIN BIND screw x1 (“18” in the figure)
4. Turn the computer face up and open the display.
5. Connect the LCD cable, speaker cables (blue, red), touch pad cable to connectors
PJ5600, PJ6001, PJ6000, PJ3260 on the system board respectively.
