3 chTests and Diagnostics 3.1 The Diagnostic Test
You will need the following equipment to perform some of the Diagnostic test programs.
 USB FDD
 The Diagnostic Disks (Five disks for all tests (T&D for maintenance,
Sound/LAN/Modem/TV for maintenance, two wireless LAN for maintenance and
IEEE1394 for maintenance))
 A formatted working disk (Floppy disk test)
 A cleaning kit to clean the floppy disk drive heads (Head Cleaning)
 A printer port wraparound connector for the printer wraparound test (Printer test)
 A PC card wraparound connector (Expansion test)
 An external CRT monitor (Expansion test)
 A CD test media (TOSHIBA CD-ROM TEST DISK) (CD-ROM/DVD-ROM test)
 A DVD test media (DVD-ROM TEST DISK TSD-1) (CD-ROM/DVD-ROM test)
 A music CD (CD-ROM/DVD-ROM test)
 A USB test module (Keyboard test)
 A USB cable (Keyboard test)
 Headphones (Sound/LAN/Modem/TV test)
 A microphone (Sound/LAN/Modem/TV test)
 A FAT-MODE inspection device (Sound/LAN/Modem/TV test)
 An IBM compatible printer (Printer test)
 A PC for wraparound test
3.1.2 H/W (Hardware) initial information setting tool
The H/W initial information setting tool consists of the following programs.
 Initial configuration
 System configuration display
 E2PROM test (MAC/DMI)
You will need the following equipment to perform some of the programs.
 The Diagnostics Disk (all test (T&D))
 A LAN wraparound connector (E2PROM test)
