word’ and select that option. Now type the word you wish to insert into the dictionary. The
next time you type that word, it will appear in the suggestions list.
Numeric method
In Numeric method, you can just tap a key in order to enter the corresponding number
into a field. Typically the input mode changes to Numeric for the entry of telephone
numbers in the Phone application, for address entry in the SMS and MMS applications.
To enter numbers in text
1 Press and hold the * to change it to Numeric mode
2 Enter numbers with the keypad
3 Press the * again and hold to back to T9 mode
To enter numbers without changing to ‘123’ mode, press and hold the corresponding
key for 1 second.
More tips on text entry
In both Multipress and T9 mode, the first letter of a sentence/phrase is capitalized.
• To switch among Uppercase, Lowercase and Caps lock
Press * to switch among Uppercase, Lowercase and Caps lock
• Deleting characters
Press Back to delete a single character
Press and hold the Back key to delete all the characters in the area where you are
currently typing.
• Entering space & symbols
In Multipress or T9 mode, press # briefly to enter a space.
Press and hold # to show miscellaneous symbols and characters. Press navigation keys
to move to the required character, and
then press the CSK Key to insert it.
• Entering the ‘+’ character for international calls
Press and hold the ‘0’ key in order to gain the ‘+’ symbol while dialing a telephone
number.
