Using the Remote Controller
Your computer comes with a remote control unit, which allows you to
control some of your computer’s functions from a distant location.
Connecting the MCE Remote control receiver
An infrared receiver, which connects to one of the computer’s USB ports,
allows you to control Microsoft

Windows

XP Media Center Edition from a
distant location.
The MCE Remote control receiver
The Access indicator turns on when signals are received from the
controller.
1. Connect a provided USB cable to the USB port of the Remote control
receiver.

■ Some application programs may not support remote control functions.
