Battery switch
The battery switch connects and disconnects battery power from the
Pocket PC. When your Toshiba Pocket PC e830 is sent from the factory,
the switch is set to the right (the “stop” side). When using your Toshiba
Pocket PC e830 for the first time, open the switch cover, then use the sty-
lus to slide the switch to the left (the “supply” side).
Setting the battery switch
1. Open the switch cover.
2. Slide the battery switch to the left.
Battery/Alarm LED descriptions
The Battery/Alarm LED indicates the Toshiba Pocket PC e830 battery
condition.
Switching the battery switch to the “stop” position at any
time leads to loss of data.
Flashing orange When the preset alarm time (set through Calendar or
Tasks) goes off, the lamp starts flashing.
Orange Indicates charging of the battery.
Yellow The battery charging process is stopped due to the
extreme ambient temperature Charge the battery in an
ambient temperature of approximately 41°F to 95°F
(5°C to 35°C).
Green Indicates full charge of the battery.
