BasicVCRRecording
Follow these directions to record 01110a disc or tape tlle
outputs of a camcorder that has a DV output .jack.
Connect the DV output jack of your camcorder to
tile DV input jack on tile from of your DVD
Reeorder-VCR using a DV cable.
Before starting
1. Check TV channel and Antenna connections.
2. Check the remaining time on the tape.
"_u can record a TV show in progrea _,by inserting a blank
tape and preaqng tile e(REC) breton. _k_u can e,a,n add
time in 30-minute increments up to 4 hours by pn'ssing the
e(REC)button repeatedly; see page 63.
Power on your DVD Recorder-VCR and switch to
DV mode by, pressing the INPUT SEL. on the
remote. Insert the disc.
\x,ith your DVD Recorder-VCR stopped, set the
operatiml mode of your camcorder to play mode.
Press the REC button on your DVD Recorder-VCR
when the image from which you want to start
recording is displayed.
Press the STOP button on your DVD Recorder-VCR
when the recording is finished.

Insert Tape
Insert a blank VHS tape into the VCR deck.
• Make sure the tape is long enough to record the
entilv program.
To change the Reconling Speed, see page 70.

Select a Channel to Record
Use tile 0-9 buttons or tile Channel UP/DO\VN
arrov,' buttons to select tile desired channel, or press
tile INPUT SEL. button to select Line 1, Dine 2 or
DV if reconling from an external device connected
to tile from or rear Line inputs, respectively:

Start Recording
Pre_ _,the O(REC) button on the remote control or
from panel.
For options while reconlmg is in progress, see
"Special Reconlmg Features'.
Pause/Resume Recording
Pressttle (REC/PAUSE) button.
Press e(REC) again to resume.
