• Data cannot be recorded on a DVD-RAM disc.
• The disc is protected from deleting data.
Set the write-protect tab to the opposite of
"PROTECT" ( _page 13).
• The disc is protected by a PC or the recorder.
_Disable the protection on the device which
protected the disc.
• The disc space is not sufficient.
-->Delete unwanted data (@ page 42) or prepare
a new disc.
• The disc is not initialized.
-->Initialize the disc.
• The disc may contain errors.
-->Complete the physical format on the disc.
• The physical format on the disc is not completed.
_Complete the physical format on the disc.
• Timer programming cannot be completed,
• Clock setting has not been completed.
_Complete the clock setting ( _ page 34,
"Time and Date Settings").
• The programs list is full.
Delete some of the timer programs ( @ page 44).
• When the power goes off, timer programs will be
deleted.
-->Check the timer programs and set them again.
• The remote control does not work.
• The batteries in the remote control are exhausted.
Replace all the batteries in the remote control
(@ page 19, "Preparation of the remote
control").
• The light emitter of the remote control is not
pointed at the sensor of this recorder.
-->Point the emitter of the remote control at the
sensor of this recorder.
• The sensor of this recorder is located too far away
from the remote control.
-->Operate the remote control within 7 meters
(23 ft) from the sensor of this recorder.
• There are obstacles between the remote control
and this recorder.
Remove any obstacles.
• The sensor is disturbed by sunlight or fluorescent
light.
--> Change the place of this recorder or shield the
light.
• The remote mode is not appropriate.
_Adjust the remote mode of the remote control
and this recorder.
• The setting of the TV/DVD selector is not correct.
Set the TV/DVD selector to the equipment to
operate.
• The clock blinks.
-->Complete the initial setting again (_ page 34,
"Time and Date Settings").
• The clock does not keep time.
