Setup Menu
Clock Settings
Use theA/v keys to select a time field.
Press ENTER to edit the time field.
Use the A/v/ _/) keys to set the value of the
time field.
Press ENTER.
Press RETURN to exit the Clock Settings Menu.
Date Settings
Use theA/v keys to select a date field.
Press ENTER to edit the date field.
Use the A/v/_/) keys to set the Month, Day
and Year of the date field.
Press ENTER.
Press RETURN to exit the Clock Settings Menu.

New Disc Format
Finalize
Protect Disc
Unfinalize
Physical Format

Use the A/v keys to select "DVD-Video Format".
Press ENTER and below information

DVD-VR Format
Inserting a DVD-RW/RAM disc.
Use the A/v keys to select "DVD-VR Format".
Press ENTER and below information

and format a DVD-RW/RAM disc begin.

New Disc Format
Use the =./v keys to select "New Disc Format".
Press ENTER and then / to select "VR"
press
or "Video" for DVD-RW.
Press RETURN to exit.
Finalize
To play a DVD-RW/R disc recorded on this unit,you
must finalize it to insure compatibility with other DVD
players. When you have finished recording,
Use the ,=,/v keys to select "Finalize".
Press ENTER to start "Finalize" operation.
Protect Disc
"Protect Disc" function is to protect a disc to prevent the
content recorded for VR-Fermatted disc.
ON: The disc which have recorded can't be formatted.
OFF: The disc which have recorded can be still
formatted.
Use the A/,_ keys to select "Protect Disc".
Press ENTER to select ON or OFF.
Unfinalize
Use the A/vkeys to select "Unfinalize'.
Press ENTER to start "Unfinalize" operation for
DVD-RW disc.
Physical Format
Physical formatting is a simple execution for DVD-
RAM which cannot be used or read (or which is
becoming hard to read). It may refresh such a disc
for recording and playback. (There is no guarantee
that all such discs will be recovered.)"DVD-VR
format" process only rewrites certain data on file
system and management information. However,
"physical format" rewrites all data on a disc,
therefore it takes a much longer time to complete.
For a 4.7GB single sided DVD-RAM, about an hour
will be necessary. While processing, all recorder
operations and functions including program
recording will not work until the process is finished.
Also this process erases all data stored on the
DVD-RAM disc.
Use the A/,_ keys to select "Physical Format".
