You can repeat recording, editing, deleting, partial deletion, creation of playlist, and etc. - A disc that is recorded in this mode may not be played by existing DVD players. • DVD-RW (Video mode) - This is a format that is used for recording data on a DVD-RW or DVD-R disc.

You can record and edit digital images on DVDRAM/DVD-RW/DVD-R discs as if they were VCR tapes. High quality digital audio and video recording and playback Record up to 12-hours of images with a double sided 9.4 GB DVD-RAM disc, and up to 6-hours of images with a 4.7 GB DVD-RAM/DVD-RW/DVD-R disc, depending on the recording mode.

Timer recording is classified as recording type : Once, Daily or Weekly or recording mode : XP (high quality mode), SP (standard quality mode), LP (long recording mode), and EP (extended mode) according to the recording mode. When recording is set in the FR mode, the best quality picture is recorded with regards to the remaining time on the disc.

S-Video separates the picture element into black and white (Y) and color (C) signals to present clearer images than regular video input mode.

To enjoy Dolby Digital, MPEG-2 or DTS sound, you will set up the audio settings. (See page 31) Step 5 : Connecting to AV3, AV4, DV input jack This allows you to connect your DVD Recorder to other external devices and view or record their outputs.

You can record from connected equipment. When an input source is inserted into AV 4 while viewing TV, the input will be switched to AV 4 automatically.

Install Batteries in the Remote Control ● ● Open the battery cover on the back of the remote. Insert two AAA batteries. Make sure that the polarities (+ and -) are aligned correctly. Replace the battery cover.

Point the remote control towards the television. 3. Hold down the TV STANDBY/ON button and enter the two-figure code corresponding to the brand of your television, by pressing the appropriate numeric buttons.

Use the following buttons to open and navigate through the on-screen menus. If you want to start Auto Clock Setting immediately, press OK button. If you do not want to do Auto Clock Setting, press CANCEL or MENU button. Your DVD Recorder will automatically set itself up when it is plugged in for the first time. TV stations and clock will be stored in memory. The process takes a few minutes.

The program can then be played from a point after the CM Skip Time.

NICAM programmes are always accompanied by a standard mono sound broadcast and you can select the desired sound by setting NICAM on or off. the unit in Stop mode, press the MENU button on the remote.

PCM : Allow you to setup the Audio device and sound status depending on the audio system in use. Select this when you have no equipment that can decode Dolby Digital (or MPEG-2) signal. When you play Dolby Digital (or MPEG-2) sound track, the digital output are converted to PCM Stereo. 2. Bitstream : Output Dolby Digital (or MPEG-2) audio as bitstream.

Larger number indicates the program is more intended to adult use only. DVD-RAM(VR) The Parental Control function works in conjunction with DVDs that have been assigned a rating which helps you control the types of DVDs that your family watches.

Check the date and time are correct. Region code (DVD-Video only) Both the DVD recorder and the discs are coded by region. These regional codes must match in order for the disc to play. If the codes do not match, the disc will not play. The Region Number for this recorder is described on the rear panel of the recorder. This section introduces basic functions of playback and playback by disc type.
