2.4LoadingRibbon
Ribbonsareonlyrequiredforthermaltransferprinting.Youcanuseawax,wax ‐resin
orresinribbon.Thetypeoftheribbonandthemediashouldmatchtoeachotherto
gettheproperprintquality.Theribbonneedstobewiderthanorequaltothemedia
toprotecttheprintheadfromwear.
2.4.1  PreparingRibbon
Removethewrappingandtheprotectivefilmoftheribbon.Youwillfindtwopairsof
ribbon cores in the printer package. One of them is for 0.5‐inch inner diameter
ribbon andtheother isfor1‐inch. Installtheapplicablepair intotheribbon supply
rollandtake‐uproll.







