While pushing the green lever of the side
guide in the direction of the arrow, set
the side guide to the desired paper size.
• Adjust the side guides with both hands.

Push the arrow part (left side) to lock the
side guide.

Place paper in the drawer(s).
• Place paper with its copy side down. (The copy side may be
described on the wrapping paper.)
• For the maximum number of sheets that can be set, see P.37
“Copy paper types and sizes”.
• Fan the paper well before placing it in the drawer.
• Be sure that the paper height does not exceed the line indicated
inside of the guide.
• Do not use creased, folded, wrinkled or damp sheets of paper.
Make sure that a gap of 0.5 mm (1.0 mm or less in total) is left
between the paper and the side guide for plain paper, and approx.
0.5 mm to 1.0 mm (approx. 1.0 mm to 2.0 mm in total) for thick
paper. If the gap is insufficient, it could cause paper misfeeding.
