Limitation of applications

The Product has not been developed and manufactured so that it may be applied to a system
containing equipment related directly to human life (*1). Do not, therefore, use the Product for
such application.
*1: The equipment related directly to human life includes:
• medical equipment such as life maintenance devices and devices for operation rooms;
• smoke dischargers and dischargers of toxic gases and other gases; and
• equipment to be installed according to the Fire Service Law, the Building Standard Law or
other appropriate laws.

If attempting to use the Product for a system containing equipment which is related to human
safety or significantly affects public function maintenance activities (*2), you must take special
measures (*3) on system operation, maintenance and control. Thus, please consult our
marketing window.
*2: The systems containing equipment which is related to human safety or significantly affects public
function maintenance activities include:
• main control systems in nuclear power plants;
• safety protection systems in nuclear power facilities;
• other important systems for human safety;
• aggregate transportation control systems; and
• air traffic control systems.
*3: Taking
special
measures requires enough negotiations with engineers of Toshiba Corporation
in order to implement a safety system characterized by fool-proof design, fail-safe design
and/or redundant design.
You may use the Product only in the United States, Canada and
Japan.
The Product is designed for use only in the United States, Canada and Japan. You may not use it in any other
countries where different power supply voltages are generated.
