Reverse-Mowing Operation (RMO) Button Height-of-Cut Lever Use the height-of-cut lever to lower and raise the deck from the seated position. Moving the lever toward you raises the deck from the ground and moving the lever away from you lowers the deck toward the ground. Adjust the height-of-cut only while the machine is not moving. Use the reverse-mowing operation (RMO) button to operate the mower blades while driving the machine in reverse.
Operation 1. Sit on the seat, engage the parking brake, move the drive-mode switch to the FORWARD position, and move the blade-control switch to the OFF position. Try starting the machine; the machine should not start. 2. Sit on the seat, disengage the parking brake, move the drive-mode switch to the FORWARD position, and move the blade-control switch to the ON position. Try starting the machine; the machine should not start. 3.
Positioning the Seat Converting the Mower to Side-Discharging or Mulching The seat can move forward and backward. Position the seat where you have the best control of the machine and are most comfortable. DANGER Without a grass deflector, discharge cover, or a complete grass-catcher assembly mounted in place, you and others are exposed to blade contact and thrown debris. Contact with rotating mower blade(s) and thrown debris will cause injury or death.
During Operation Starting the Machine 1. Sit on the operator’s seat. 2. Release the parking brake. 3. Ensure that the blade-control switch (PTO) is disengaged. 4. Move the drive-mode switch to the NEUTRAL position. 5. Turn the key switch to the ON position. g341499 Figure 11 B.
