Maintaintheairpressureinthefronttiresat15psi(103kPa)

andreartiresat12psi(83kPa).Checkthepressureatthe

valvestem(Figure36).Checkthetireswhentheyarecoldto

getthemostaccuratepressurereading.

CheckingtheBrake

ServiceInterval:Beforeeachuseordaily

1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface.

2.Disengagetheblades(PTO).

3.Settheparkingbrake.

4.Stoptheengineandwaitforallmovingpartstostop.

5.Removetheignitionkey.

6.PullthedrivecontrolouttothePushposition(Figure

13).

7.Iftherearwheelslockandskidwhenyoupushthe

machineforward,youdonotneedtoadjustthebrake.

Ifthewheelsturnanddonotlock,adjustthebrake;

refertoAdjustingtheBrake.

AdjustingtheBrake

1.Checkthebrakebeforeyouadjustit;refertoChecking

theBrake.

2.EnsurethatthedrivecontrolisintheOperateposition

(Figure13)andthattheparkingbrakeison.

3.Turnthebrakeadjustingnutclockwiseuntilyoucannot

pushthemachine(Figure37).

4.Releasetheparkingbrakeandensurethattherear

wheelsrotatefreelywhenyoupushthemachine.Ifthey

donot,turnthebrakeadjustingnutcounterclockwise

justenoughsothatyoucanpushthemachine.

5.Checkthebrakeoperationagain;refertoCheckingthe

Brake.
