Lubrication
ServiceInterval:Every500hours
ThegearboxislledwithSAE140gearoilor
equivalent.
1.Cleandebrisfromthellplugandthedrainplug
toavoidcontamination(Figure29).
2.Removethellplugtorelievetrappedair.
3.Positionashortdrainpanunderthedrainplug
andremovethedrainplug.
Note:Thehighviscosityofcooloilextendsthe
draintime(approximately30minutes).
4.Afteroiliscompletelydrained,installthedrain
plug.
5.Removethesocket-headboltonthebackof
thegearbox.
6.Fillthegearboxuntiluidcomesouttheback
hole.
7.Installthesocket-headboltontherearofthe
gearbox(Figure29).
8.Installthellplug.
InspectingtheBelts
Thedrivebelt(s)onthemachinearedurable.
However,thenormalexposuretoUVradiation,ozone
orincidentalexposuretochemicalscandeteriorate
therubbercompoundingovertimeandleadto
prematurewearormaterialloss(i.e.chunking).
Annualbeltinspectionishighlyrecommendedfor
signsofwear,excessivecushioncracks,orlarge
embeddeddebriswithreplacementwhenneeded.
AdjustingtheV-Belt
Tension
ServiceInterval:Aftertherst20hours
Every50hours
Makesurethatthebeltsareproperlytensionedto
ensurethatthemachineisoperatingcorrectlyandto
preventunnecessarywear.
Thismachineisequippedwithadjustabletension
pulleysthatkeeptheV-beltstight.Dependingonthe
intensityofusingthemachine,thedrivelinecouldbe
affectedbythewearofthebelts.
1.Removethebeltcover.
2.CheckthetensionoftheV-beltsbypushing
pointAwithapressureof7.5kg(16-1/2lb).
Propertensionofthebeltsallows12.4mm(1/2
inch)ofdeectiononeachbelt(Figure30).
Note:Ifthetensioniscorrect,installthebelt
cover(Figure31).
