CONTROLS SEED FLOW HANDLE {Fig. 2i The seed flow handle controls the amount of seed being applied. The seed flow is adjusted by moving the seeder handle (A) to the left or right Moving the handle to the left increases the flow of seed. After the adjustment has been made, move the adjustment bolt and knob (B) against the handle and tighten. The seed flow rate will be set for future applications. HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT HANDLE {Fig.
LUBRICATION GREASE FITTINGS {Fig. 3! Grease the fighting in the Wheel Pivot tube weekly or very 40 operating hours. Use a No. 2 Lithium based grease. DRIVE CHAIN (Fig. 3} Always maintain a light coat of grease on the drive chain. NOTE: DO NOT over tighten as damage can occur to the seed shaft. 12 BLADE & DRIVE BELT ADJUSTMENT {Fig. 5 1.BLADE SHAFT BELT: Idler pulley adjustment is done with the idler arm spring rod .
DETERMINING SEED FLOW SETTINGS The Aerospace 82 is designed to plant 10 rows of For instance, the approximate number of seed per seed spaced 3"apart, 1/2" to 2" below the surface. pound for these varieties of seed are as follows: Each swath of the seeder can be calculated at 18" .. 1,800,0001E. For any calculation involving seed, the weight and BLUEGRASS. size of individual seed must be taken into account. RESCUE Also the sizes of the seed vary greatly.
DETERMINING SEED FLOW SETTINGS (Continued}) CALCULATING LBS. OF SEED NEEDED FOR 1000 SQ. FT. Area In Terms Of Square Ft. Method: To calculate seed quantities needed for a given arcs, a proportion is sct up using the information from the charts: EXAMPLE: Andrea of land 200" x 75'is to be seeded in Rescue ata setting of 6. 1. Determine the area in square feet 200" x 75" 2. Refer to charts {column tided Sqg. Ft.) Rescue: 2.4 1bs. for 1,000 setting of 5. 3. Setup a proportion: 24 sq. £ sq. ft. 4.
TROUBLE SHOOTING CONDITION CAUSE CORRECTION EXCESSIVE VIBRATION * Blades wo deep {extremely dry soil}. * PTO speed too low. * Hack for missing blades Blade shaft bent. Bring PTO speed down as fow as possible and watch rotation of blade shaft for wobble, Or turn off AEROSPACE then steno level surface and measure from floor 1o blade, rotate shaft several positions, measure, compare dimensions. * Check jam newton end of the blade shaft, it may be lose. . Ground speed of tractor is too fast. . .
TROUBLE SHOOTING {Continued) CONDITION CAUSE CORRECTION NOT DROOPING SEED (Cont) DISC NOT ROTATING Seed clogged inside hopper flaps may be damaged. Check chain, May bs broke or tension w0 sloppy.
