Important:Donotoverllthecrankcasewith
oilandruntheengine;enginedamagewill
result.Draintheexcessoiluntiltheoillevelon
thedipstickreadsFull.
7.Insertthedipstickintothellerneckandrotatethe
capclockwiseuntilitistight.
AdjustingtheSkidsand
Scraper
ServiceInterval:Yearly
Adjusttheskidsandthescraperinitiallyandthenas
neededtoensurethattheaugerdoesnotcontactthe
pavedorgravelsurface.Also,adjustthemasneededto
compensateforwear.
1.Movethesnowthrowertoalevelsurface.
2.Checkthetirepressureinthetires.RefertoChecking
theTirePressure.
3.Loosenthe4angenutsthatsecurebothskidsto
theaugersideplates(Figure21)untiltheskidsslide
upanddowneasily.

raisethescraper.
B.ForGravelSurfaces:
Supporttheaugerbladesafewinches(cm)above
theground,andadjusttheskidstopreventthe
snowthrowerfrompickinguprocks.
6.Toadjustthescraper,loosenthe5mounting
screws(Figure22),levelthescraper,andtightenthe
mountingscrews.
7.Movetheskidsdownasfaraspossible.
8.Tightenthe4angenutsthatsecurebothskidsto
theaugersideplates(Figure21).
9.Connectthewiretothesparkplug.
AdjustingtheSpeedSelector
Adjustthespeedselectorlinkageinitiallyandwhenthe
snowthrowerisslow,rstgearhasnospeed,orthe
speedselectorleverdoesnotmoveintothirdgear.
1.Draingasolinefromthefueltankandtheoilfrom
thecrankcase.RefertoEmptyingtheFuelTankand
toChangingtheEngineOil.
2.Tipthesnowthrowerforwardandblockitsothatit
cannotfall.
3.Removethe4ange-headboltsthatsecurethe
bottomcovertotheframeandremovethecover
(Figure27).
