. Remove foot rest side plate. Matching the radius in lower front corner, measure in on plate, scribe and trim area off plate {Fig. 12). Set plate aside for further use. Bracket Note: Machines equipped with a Trifle 88 cutting unit will need modification of the bracket and coil assembly and addition of a hose bracket {included in kit). Rotate heft assembly on outside of coil so inner portion of shaft contacts forward end of slotted hole in clutch plate {Fig. 34). This acts as a reverse lockout when coil is engaged.
8. Turn cruise control and ignition switch to OFF. Manually actuate traction pedal to forward and reverse operating positions. Pedal should operate freely and clutch plate should clear the end of the shaft assembly in reverse pedal position {Fig. 34). if plate doesn't clear end of the shaft assembly, adjust the clutch plate further away from the coil; proceed to step 6. If plate clears the end of the shaft assembly, proceed to step 7 6.
