DisassemblingtheWindshieldWiperAssembly(continued)
3.Ifnecessary,removethewiperarmassemblyasfollows:
A.Disconnectthewasherhosefromthewiperassembly.
B.Liftthecapsatthetopofthewiperarmsandremovetheangenutsthat
securethewiperarmstothewipermotor.
C.Useasuitablepullertoremovethetaperedwiperarmsocketsfromthe
wipermotorshafts.
4.Ifaccesstothewipermotorisnecessary,removetheroofpanelfromthe
topofthecabtogetaccesstothewipermotorassembly;refertoRemoval
(Figure352)(page10–9).
5.RemovethewipermotorcomponentsasshowninFigure374.
AssemblingtheWindshieldWiperAssembly
1.Ifrequired,installthewipermotorcomponentsthatwereremoved(Figure
374)anddothefollowing:
A.Ifthewiperbracket(item8inFigure374)wasremoved,applybeadof
RTVsealantaroundthewiperopeningoninsideoftheheadlinerbefore
youinstallthebracket.
B.Ensurethatthewipermotorelectricalconnectorissecuredtothecab
wireharness.
C.Securetheroofpaneltothetopofthecab;refertoInstallation(Figure
352)(page10–9).
2.Ifthewiperarmassemblywasremoved,dothefollowing:
A.Cleanthetaperedwiperarmsocketsandwipermotorshafts.
B.Slidethewiperarmsocketsontothewipermotorshaftsandsecurethe
wiperarmsocketswiththeangenuts.Installthewiperarmcapsover
theangenuts.
C.Connectthewasherhosetothewiperassembly.
3.Ifthewiperbladewasremoved,securethebladetothewiperarmassembly
withthe2boltsand2lockwashers.
