1.Coloquelamáquinaenunasupercienivelada.Levante
launidaddecorte,pongaelfrenodeestacionamiento,
pongaelpedaldetracciónenpuntomuerto,pongala
palancadelaTDFenposicióndeDesengranado,pare
elmotoryretirelallavedecontacto.Bloqueelaunidad
decorteparaevitarquesecaigaaccidentalmente.
2.Girelacuchillahastaquelosextremosesténorientados
haciaadelanteyhaciaatrás.Midadesdeelinteriordela
unidaddecorteallodecorteenlapartedelanterade
lacuchilla(Figura26)yrecuerdeestadimensión.

Lacuchilladebecambiarsesigolpeaunobjetosólido,osiestá
desequilibrada,dobladaodesgastada.Utilicesiemprepiezas
derepuestogenuinasdeToroparagarantizarlaseguridady
unrendimientoóptimo.Noutilicenuncacuchillasdeotros
fabricantes,puestoquepodríanserpeligrosas.
1.Elevelaunidaddecortealaposiciónmásalta,pongael
frenodeestacionamiento,pareelmotoryretirelallave
decontacto.Bloqueelaunidaddecorteparaevitarque
secaigaaccidentalmente.
2.Sujeteelextremodelacuchillausandounpañooun
guantegrueso.Retiredelejedelacuchillaelpernodela
cuchilla,elprotectordecéspedylacuchilla(Figura27).

Unacuchilladesgastadaodañadapuederomperse,
yuntrozodelacuchillapodríaserarrojadoalazona
dondeestáeloperadoruotrapersona,provocando
lesionespersonalesgravesolamuerte.
•Inspeccioneperiódicamentelascuchillas,para
asegurarsedequenoestándesgastadasni
dañadas.
•Nointenteenderezarunacuchilladoblada.
•Nosueldenuncaunacuchillarotaoagrietada.
•Cambiecualquiercuchilladesgastadaodañada
porunacuchillaToronuevaparaasegurarque
elproductosigacumpliendolacerticaciónde
seguridad.
Enlainspecciónyelaladodelacuchilla,esnecesariotener
encuentadoszonas:lavelayellodecorte.Tantoello
decortecomolavela–laparteinclinadahaciaarribafrente
allodecorte–contribuyenaunabuenacalidaddecorte.
Lavelaesimportanteporquelevantayenderezalahojade
hierba,asíproduciendouncortehomogéneo.Noobstante,la
velasedesgastagradualmentedurantelaoperación,yestoes
normal.Amedidaquelavelasedesgasta,lacalidaddecorte
disminuyealgo,aunqueloslosesténalados.Ellodecorte
delacuchilladebeestaraladoparaquelahierbaseacortada
envezdedesgarrada.Cuandolaspuntasdelashojasdehierba
