CAUTION
Whengrasscollectorisremoved,neveroperate
withoutdeectorinplace.
Forbestperformance,regulatetractionpedaltokeep
enginerpmhighandsomewhatconstant.Agoodrule
tofollowis:decreasegroundspeedastheloadonthe
cuttingbladeincreases;andincreasegroundspeedas
theloadonthebladedecreases.Thisallowstheengine,
workingwiththetransmission,tosensetheproper
groundspeedwhilemaintaininghighbladetipspeed
necessaryforgoodquality-of-cut,vacuumingaction,
andtothrowgrassintohopper.Ifblowerspeeddrops
toolow,pluggingmayresult.RefertoCuttingUnitand
TractionUnitOperator’sManualforoperationofeach.
DANGER
Neverplacehandsorfeetinchute,blower,or
cuttingunit.
1.Thisgrasscollectorisdesignedforuseinwetordry
conditions.Donotcollectextremelylonggrassas
thehopperwilllltooquickly.
2.Whenbaggingwet,heavygrass,someclippings
maynotbethrowncompletelythroughthechute.
Theholeinthebottomofthechuteallowsthese
clippingstodropoutwithoutpluggingthechute.
Whenthishappens,reducegroundspeed.
3.Thebumperwhichprotectstheblowerhousing
doesntextendfarenoughtoeliminatethechance
ofthebaggerstrikingastationaryobject.Stayfar
enoughawayfromobstructionstoavoidcollisions.
Trimwithleftsideofcuttingunitonly.

Usecaretoavoidcollisionbetweenhopperand
anystationaryobjects.Alwaystrimwithleft
sideofcuttingunit.
4.Whileoperating,checkfrequentlyforexcessive
clippingsleftonturforuncutgrass.Ifthose
conditionsoccur,theblowerorcuttingunitmay
beplugged.Stopunit,disengagePTO,setbrake
andshutoffignition.Checkforobstructionsinthe
chute,blowerorcuttingunit.Clearanyobstruction
