ServicingtheAir-cleaning
System
Important:Donotremovetheelementsfromthe
machinetocheckfordirtylters;usethefollowing
procedureinstead.
Important:Donotreplacetheoldair-cleanerlterwith
alterthatismorethan5yearsold;checkthedateof
manufactureontheendcapoftheelement.
Note:Everytimeyouservicetheair-cleanersystem,ensure
thatallhoseconnectionsandangesareairtight.Replace
alldamagedparts.
•Checktheair-cleanerbodyfordamagewhichcouldcause
anairleak.Replaceitifitisdamaged.Checkthewhole
intakesystemforleaks,damageorloosehoseclamps.
Also,inspecttherubberintakehoseconnectionsatthe
aircleanerandturbotomakesuretheconnectionsare
complete.
•Servicetheair-cleanerlteronlywhen“CheckAirFilter”
isdisplayedonthescreen.Changingtheairlterbefore
itisnecessaryonlyincreasesthechanceofdirtentering
theenginewhenthelterisremoved.
•Besurethecoverisseatedcorrectlyandsealswiththe
air-cleanerbody.

1.Starttheengine.
2.Checktherestricted,air-cleanerindicatoronthedisplay
screenasshowninFigure115.

CleaningtheDustValve
ServiceInterval:Every50hours
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,stoptheengine,
andremovetheignitionkey.
2.Openthefronthood.
3.Squeezethesidesofthedustvalveontheair-cleaner
covertoreleaseanycollectedwater,dust,ordirtfrom
thevalve.(Figure116).
