ReplacingtheTeeth
ServiceInterval:Beforeeachuseordaily—Checkthe
conditionoftheteethandrotateor
replaceanythatarewornordamaged.
Duetothehighamountofwearplacedontheteeth,youwill
needtorotateandreplacethemperiodically.

Eachtoothisindexedwiththreepositionssoyoucanrotate
ittwice,exposinganewsharpedgebeforereplacingthe
tooth.Torotateatooth,loosenthenutsecuringthetooth
(Figure61).Pushthetoothforwardandrotateitonethird
ofaturn,bringinganunusededgetotheoutside.Torquethe
nutsecuringthetoothto37to45N-m(27to33ft-lb).
Toreplaceatooth,removethenutsecuringthetoothto
removeit,theninstallanewtoothandnutinthesame
position(Figure61).Torquethenutsecuringthetoothto
37to45N-m(27to33ft-lb).
Cleaning
RemovingDebrisfromthe
Machine
Important:Operatingtheenginewithblockedscreens,
dirtyorpluggedcoolingns,and/orcoolingshrouds
removed,willresultinenginedamagefromoverheating.
1.Lowerthegrinder.
2.Stoptheengine,removethekey,andwaitforallmoving
partstostopbeforeleavingtheoperatingposition.
3.Wipeawaydebrisfromtheaircleaner.
4.Cleandebrisfromtheoilcooler.
