Step 4 Installing the Parking Brake Locking Mechanism Parts needed for this step: Figure 5 1. Locking collar 2. 1 4 4 Set screw 6. Position the large spring over the cable (Figure 6). Convoluted cable tube Bolt (5/16 x 1 inch) Locknut (5/16 inch) Procedure 1. Slide the convoluted tube over the brake cable (Figure 8). 2. From under the machine, route the end of the cable through the frame in the lower left corner of the frame (Figure 8). Ensure that the convoluted tube protrudes at least 4 to 6 in.

Step 6 Installing the Rear Wheel Hubs Parts needed for this step: 2 2 Wheel hub assembly Hub locknut Figure 17 1. Procedure 1. Thoroughly clean the rear drive shafts and the inside of the tapered bore of the wheel hubs with alcohol or degreaser (Figure 16). Wheel hub (left side) 5. Secure the hubs with the hub locknuts. 6. Torque the nuts to 300 to 350 ft-lb (406 to 474 N⋅m). 7. Install the rear wheels. 8. Torque the wheel lug nuts to 50 ft-lb (68 N⋅m).

Slide the loader valve lock rearward until it contacts the loader arm and attachment tilt levers. Hold it tightly against the levers. 5. Tighten the screws to secure the loader valve lock. 6. Push forward on the loader arm and attachment tilt levers. They should not move forward at all. If they do, loosen the screws and repeat steps 4 through 6.

8. Tighten the nuts. 9. Install the lever spring between the lever and the gate (Figure 23). 10. Install the self-tapping screw (1/4 x 1-3/8 inches) into the hole on top of the gate (Figure 23). 11. Adjust the screw so that when you push the auxiliary hydraulics lever forward in the center slot, it contacts the screw just before it goes into the detent position. 12. Secure the screw with a lock washer (1/4 inch) and nut (1/4 inch) (Figure 23). 13. Start the engine and set the throttle to the Fast position.

8. Tighten the jam nut on the high-speed throttle adjustment screw (Figure 24). 9. Start the engine, move the throttle to the Fast position, and check the engine speed with the tachometer. If the engine speed is not 3200 rpm, stop the engine and repeat steps 3 through 9. 10. Apply sealant paint or epoxy adhesive to the screw threads next to the jam nut and on the protruding screw threads opposite the jam nut (Figure 24). 11. Close the rear access cover. Procedure Step 12 Install the decals in the positions indicated in the following table. Place each decal directly over the US English decal that corresponds to the CE decal you are installing. Installing the CE Compliant Decals Note: Decals 106-5976, 108-9738, 108–4725, and 100-8822 do not have a US English equivalent installed on the traction unit. Parts needed for this step: 1. Thoroughly clean the area where you will install the decal.
