counterclockwiseandpullingitout.
3.Ifthecrankcaseisempty,addabout3/4ofthe
crankcasecapacityofoilintotheoil-lltube(Figure7).

(22oz)withoutoillter;type:SAE30orSAE10W30
weightdetergentoilwithanAPIserviceclassication
ofSF,SG,SH,SJ,SL,orhigher.

5.Insertthedipstickintothellerneck,thenremoveit.

IftheoillevelisbelowtheAddmark,addasmall
amountofoilslowlytotheoil-lltube,thenrepeat
steps4through6untiltheoillevelisattheFull
markonthedipstick.
IftheoillevelabovetheFullmark,draintheexcess
oiluntiltheoillevelisattheFullmarkonthe
dipstick;refertoChangingtheEngineOil(page
19).
Important:Iftheoillevelinthecrankcaseis
toolowortoohighandyouruntheengine,
youmaydamagetheengine.
7.Insertthedipstickintothellerneckandrotatethecap
clockwiseuntilitistight.
