1.Whiletheengineisstillwarm,changetheengineoil

andtheoillter;refertoChangingtheEngineOil

(page19)andChangingtheOilFilter(page20).

2.Removethesparkplug.

3.Usinganoilcan,addabout30ml(1oz),ofmotoroil

totheenginethroughthespark-plughole.

4.Slowlypullthestarterropeseveraltimestodistribute

oilthroughoutthecylinder.

5.Installthesparkplugbutdonotconnectthewireto

thesparkplug.Securethewiresothatitdoesnotcome

intocontactwiththesparkplug.

RemovingtheMachinefrom

Storage

1.Checkandtightenallfasteners.

2.Removethesparkplugandspintheenginerapidly

usingthestartertoblowexcessoilfromthecylinder.

3.Inspectthesparkplugandreplaceitifitisdirty,worn,

orcracked;refertotheengineoperator’smanual.

4.Installthesparkplugandtightenittotherecommended

torqueof20N-m(180in-lb).

5.Performanyneededmaintenanceprocedures;referto

Maintenance(page18).

6.Checktheengineoillevel;refertoCheckingthe

Engine-OilLevel(page10).

7.Fillthefueltankwithfreshgasoline;refertoFillingthe

FuelTankwithGasoline(page11).

8.Connectthewiretothesparkplug.
