andthecontrolbaroperateproperly.Whenyoureleasethe
controlbar,thebladesandtheself-propeldriveshouldstop.

Beforeeachuse,ensurethattheoillevelisbetweentheAdd
andFullmarksonthedipstick(Figure14).

1.Movethemachinetoalevelsurface.
2.Cleanaroundthedipstick(Figure14).
3.Removethedipstickbyrotatingthecap
counterclockwiseandpullingitout.
4.Wipethedipstickcleanwithacleancloth.
5.Insertthedipstickintothellerneck,thenremoveit.
Note:Toensureanaccurateoillevelreading,install
thedipstickfully.
6.Readtheoillevelonthedipstick(Figure14).
•IftheoillevelisbelowtheAddmark,addasmall
amountofoilslowlytotheoil-lltube,thenrepeat
steps4through6untiltheoillevelisattheFull
markonthedipstick.
•IftheoillevelabovetheFullmark,draintheexcess
oiluntiltheoillevelisattheFullmarkonthe
dipstick;refertoChangingtheEngineOil(page
19).
