RateControl
ThisconsistsofPOWERCONTROL,AUTOMOTIVE
CONTROL,andRATECONTROL.Thisdetermineshow
theengineandtractionspeedarecontrolled.The
typesofratecontrolareasfollows:
POWERCONTROL—thegroundspeedisvariable
throughthetractionpedalandtheenginespeed
islockedwheneitherthePTOorthehydraulic
auxiliaryswitchisengagedorenabled.Thisis
usedforattachmentsthatrequireaconstantPTO
speedandhydraulicow.Possibleuseswouldbe
apull-behindmowerordebrisblower.
AUTOMOTIVECONTROL—boththeenginespeed
andthegroundspeedarevariablethroughthe
tractionpedalwheneitherthePTOorthehydraulic
auxiliaryswitchisengaged.ThePTOspeed
varieswithenginespeed.Possibleusesforthis
parameterincludea3-pointfertilizerspreaderin
whichyouneedtoslowthePTOspeedtoreduce
spreaderthrowingdistanceortoslowthemachine
tomaintainsafemachineoperation.
Youcansettheminimumspeedalarmtoremind
theoperatortomaintainspeedassoonasitis
safetodoso.
Note:Youcansetthemaximumspeedandthe
minimum-speedwarningbuzzerwiththeproper
parametersettings.Settheminimumspeedalarm
toremindtheoperatortomaintainspeedassoon
asitissafetodoso.
RATECONTROL—theenginespeedislockedand
thegroundspeedislimitedandlockedtothe
speedsetintheparameterswhenthePTOorthe
hydraulicauxillaryisengaged.Possibleusesfor
thisparameterareanaeratororspreaderwhen
safetodoso.
Note:Ifratecontrolisselected,themachinemustbe
movingtoemploytheattachment.Usethissettingfor
rate-criticalattachments.
DecelResponse
Thiscontrolsthereactiontimeofthemachinewhen
youreleasethetractionpedal.
Thetypesofresponseareasfollows:
1.LOW—tractionslowsgraduallywhenyourelease
thetractionpedal.Thisresponserateislike
operatingacar.
2.MEDIUM—tractionslowsmoderatelywhenyou
releasethetractionpedal.Thisresponseislike
operatingahydrostaticdrivemachine.
3.HIGH—tractionslowsmostquicklywhenyou
releasethetractionpedal.Thisresponseis
recommendedwhenusingaloader.
MaximumTransportSpeed
Thisisthemaximumgroundspeedduringtransport.
ThisisusedwheninATTACHMENTMODEbutthePTO
andthehydraulicauxillaryswitcharedisengaged.It
isadjustablefrom1.6to33.8km/hr(0.5to8mph)
in0.16km/hr(0.1mph)increments.Adjustthisfor
eachattachmentanduseaslowerspeedforlarge
andheavyattachments.
MaximumReverseSpeed
Thisisthemaximumreversespeedasapercentage
ofthemaximumtransportspeed.Itisadjustablefrom
10to100%in10%increments.Therecommended
useis50%orlessformostattachments.Uselower
speedswhenoperatingtheloaderandhigherspeeds
whenusingasnowblade.
MaximumTurnaroundSpeed
Thisparameterisrequiredonlyfor3-pointattachments
engagedbythepaddle.Thisisthemaximumground
speedwhentheattachmentisliftedtothe3-point
turnaroundposition.Itisadjustablefrom0.8km/hr
(0.5mph)tomaximumtransportspeedin0.16km/hr
(0.1mph)increments.Usealowerspeedwhenthe
weightandsizeoftheattachmentislarge.
Whenusinganattachmentthatrequiresalow
groundspeed,suchasanaerator,youtypicallyspeed
upforaturnaroundattheendofapass.Whenusinga
fastergroundspeedattachment,youtypicallychoose
aslowerturnaroundspeedtoavoidturfdamageorfor
safemaneuvering.
MaximumWorkSpeed
Thisisthemaximumgroundspeedwhenthe
attachmentisengaged.
Youcanadjusttherateofanattachmentbychanging
groundspeed.Forapowerattachment,limitthe
speedtoallowforappropriateperformance;suchasa
mowerattachment.
MinimumWorkSpeed
Thisisthedesiredminimumgroundspeedwhen
theattachmentisengaged.Anaudiblealarmand
textoccurswhenthegroundspeedgoesbelowthis
setting.Itisadjustablefrom0.0to0.8km/hr(0.0to
0.5mph)belowthemaximumworkspeedin0.16
km/hr(0.1mph)increments.Refertothemanual
foreachattachmentusedtopreventdamagetothe
attachment.
