Avehicleonajackmaybeunstableandslipoffof
thejack,injuringanyonebeneathit.
•Donotstartthevehiclewhilethevehicleisona
jack.
•Alwaysremovethekeyfromtheswitchbefore
gettingoffofthevehicle.
•Blockthetireswhenthevehicleisonajack.
•Donotstarttheenginewhilethevehicleisonajack,
becausetheenginevibrationorwheelmovementcould
causethevehicletoslipoffofthejack.
•Donotworkunderthevehiclewithoutjackstands
supportingit.Thevehiclecouldslipoffajack,injuring
anyonebeneathit.
•Whenjackingupthefrontofthevehicle,alwaysplacea2
x4block(orsimilarmaterial)betweenthejackandthe
vehicleframe.
•Thejackingpointatthefrontofthevehicleisunderthe
frontcenterframesupport(Figure15).
