1.Removethecotterpinandclevispinsecuring
themastercylinderyoketothebrakepedalpivot
(Figure68).

3.Loosenthejamnutssecuringtheyoketothemaster
cylindershaft(Figure68).
4.Adjusttheyokeuntilitsholesalignwiththeholein
thebrakepedalpivot.Securetheyoketothepedal
pivotwiththeclevispinandcotterpin.
5.Tightenthejamnutssecuringtheyoketothemaster
cylindershaft.
Note:Thebrakemastercylindermustrelieve
pressurewhenproperlyadjusted.

andtensionofthealternatorbelt.
1.Raisethebed(ifsoequipped)andpositionthesafety
supportontheextendedliftcylindertoholdupthe
bed.
2.Checkthetensionbypressingthebeltatmidspan
betweenthecrankshaftandalternatorpulleyswith
22lb(10kg)offorce.Anewbeltshoulddeect0.3
to0.5inch(8to12mm).Ausedbeltshoulddeect
0.4to0.55inch(10to14mm).Ifthedeection
isincorrect,proceedtothenextstep.Ifcorrect,
continueoperation.
3.Toadjustbelttension,completethefollowing:
Loosenthe2alternatormountingbolts.
