Procedure
1.Removethesteeringwheelcoverfromthehub
ofthesteeringwheel(Figure65).
2.Removethelocknut(1/2inch)fromthesteering
shaft(Figure65).
3.Ensurethatthesteeringrackisstraightby
turningonthemachineandslowlydriving
backwardandforward.
4.Turnoffthemachineandengagetheparking
brake.
5.Slidethesteeringwheel,dustcover,andwasher
(1/2inch)ontothesteeringshaft(Figure65).
Note:Withthefrontwheelsstraight,orientthe
steeringwheelsothatthesmallerspokeonthe
steeringwheelisvertical.
6.Securethesteeringwheeltotheshaftwiththe
locknut(1/2inch)andtightenitto18to30N∙m
(13to22ft-lb).
7.Installthesteeringwheelcoveronthesteering
wheel(Figure65).
