WARNING

PREVENTACCIDENTS–Whencarryingoutthe

followingprocedure,itisessentialthat:

•ThePTOdriveisdisengaged.

•Thetractorisinneutral.

•Thetractorparkingbrakeisapplied.

•Thetractorengineisswitchedoff.

•Theignitionkeyisremoved.

•Themowerparkingbrakeisapplied.

•Thecuttingunitsarefullyloweredtotheground.

•Thehydraulicsystempressureisfullyreleased.

Important:Dirtandcontaminationaretheenemiesof

anyhydraulicsystem.Whencarryingoutthefollowing

installationonthehydraulicsystemalwaysensurethat

theworkareaandcomponentsarethoroughlyclean

throughouttheexercise.Ensurethatallopenhydraulic

linesandportsaresuitablypluggedthroughoutthe

installationprocess.

CAUTION

Amachinettedwithanunlockedoverrundrawbar

(iewithouttheredspacerttedbehindthetoweye)

shouldonlybeusedonatractorwithoutahydraulic

trailerbrakeconnection.

Amachinettedwithalockedoverrundrawbar

(i.e.withredspacertted)shouldonlybeused

onatractorwiththehydraulictrailerbrakesystem

connectionandwiththehydraulicbrakehose

connectedduringuse.TheTractionUnitOperator

Installation Note: Determine the left and right sides of the machine from the normal operating position. 1. Disconnect the mower from the tractor. 2. Chock the wheels of the mower so that it cannot be moved when the hand brake is released. 1 3. Remove the PTO stay from the drawbar as this will be required with the new drawbar. 4. Use a suitable strap to hold the hand brake lever in the released position. Refer to the traction unit operator’s manual for safety information on stored energy. 5.

Slide the red spacer over the drawbar and add shims so that when the tow eye is fitted the end float is less than 1 mm. Shim thicknesses of 1 mm and 2 mm are supplied so that this can be achieved. 7. Replace the M12 x 100 bolt in the horizontal hole through the tow eye and drawbar shaft and use a new M12 nyloc nut supplied in the bolt kit. 8.
