CONTENTS

This kit is designed to replace any previous versions of a xed drawbar and over run drawbar.

The xed drawbar enables attachment of the tractor to the trailed mower and has a built in handbrake.

The kit consists of a xed drawbar for the TM5490, TM7490, TM549, TM549E, TM749, TM749E, RM5490, RM7490.

These instructions include safety, maintenance, specications, operating instructions and assembly. These instructions

should be considered as part of the machine.

For all other information refer to your Operator’s Manual and Parts List.

In pursuit of continuous product development, we reserve the right to alter specications without notice.

Left and Right: Throughout this manual refers to the mower when looking in the direction of forward travel.

FITTING INSTRUCTIONS IMPORTANT:- PREVENT DAMAGE: Before carrying out any work on the machine lower the cutter heads to the ground. 1. Disconnect the mower from the tractor. 2. Chock the wheels of the mower so that it cannot be moved with the handbrake released. Refer to Fig 1. 3. Use a suitable strap to hold the handbrake lever in the release position (for overrun drawbars only). Refer to Fig 2. 4. Unbolt the clevis from the handbrake cable (for over run drawbars only). Refer to Fig 3. 5.

FITTING INSTRUCTIONS Continued 6. Support the drawbar in position. The mower should be standing on level ground with the parking brake applied and supported at the front end by the jockey wheel. The jockey wheel height should be adjusted such that the mower frame work is aligned horizontally with the ground. Measure the height of the tow hitch on the tractor and place bolts in the drawbar in the correct holes, according to the table below. Also refer to Fig 4.

Refit the wheel hub and wheel. Mower Front Plate Tow Hitch 15. Check that all bolts have been tightened correctly. 16. Commissioning the braking system: Inspect the brake system and ensure that all components are assembled and secured correctly and that all cables are correctly tensioned.
