Preparing the Cutting Units 1. Release the cutting unit from the arm by removing the 24 mm locknut and plain washer from the cutting unit pivot pin. Refer to the relevant machine Operator’s Manual. g196882 Figure 2 2. Remove the cutting unit from the pin. Note: It is not necessary to disconnect the cutting unit hydraulic hoses during this stage. 3. Remove the fasteners and bushings that hold the fixed cutting unit casting in position on top of the cutting unit and remove the casting.

1. Secure the float pivot casting to the cutting unit by first inserting the pin through the tapered bushings in the cutting unit frame and the appropriate hole in the casting. 2. Secure the pin in position with the spring pin. 3. Fit the bolt (16 x 120 mm), washers (16 mm), and locknut (16 mm). Tighten the fasteners, ensuring that the float pivot casting can freely move through the full range of movement. 4. Withdraw the cutting unit pin from each of the front arms.
