ServiceInterval:Beforeeachuseordaily
1.Movethemachinetoalevelsurface.
2.Removethedipstickandwipeitwithaclean
cloth.
3.Insert,butdonotscrewin,thedipstickintothe
oil-llhole.
4.Removethedipstickandcheckit.
5.Todeterminetheproperoillevelonthedipstick,
refertoFigure12).

7.Installthedipstickandhandtightenitsecurely.
Important:Changetheengineoilafterthe
rst5operatinghours;changeityearly
thereafter.RefertoChangingtheEngineOil

AdjustingtheCutting
Height
WARNING
Adjustingthecuttingheightmaybringyou
intocontactwiththemovingblade,causing
seriousinjury.
•Shutofftheengineandwaitforallmoving
partstostop.
•Weargloveswhilehandlingthecutting
unit.
CAUTION
Iftheenginehasbeenrunning,themufer
willbehotandcanseverelyburnyou.Keep
awayfromthehotmufer.
Adjustthecuttingheightasdesired.
1.TurnthefuelswitchtotheOFFposition.
2.Disconnectthewirefromthesparkplug.
3.Tipthemachineonitsside,withthedipstick
down.
4.Wearingprotectivegloves,removetheblade
boltandcuttingunit.
5.Repositionthespacerstothedesiredheight,
thenreinstallthecuttingunitasshowninFigure
13.
