• Add enough solder so that it runs. Remove the soldering iron from the soldering joint and

leave it to cool down properly.

• Clean the soldering iron tip by wiping it off with a dampened sponge while it is still hot.

• Before ending operation, tin-plate the soldering iron tip again; then switch off the soldering

iron (switch position “0”).

b) Replacing the soldering tip

• Disconnect the soldering iron from the mains voltage (pull the mains plug!).

• Let the soldering iron cool down completely before changing the soldering iron tip.

• Unscrew the screws which hold the soldering iron tip.

• Remove the soldering iron tip from the support and insert the new soldering iron tip.

• Re-tighten the screws.

• Make sure that the soldering iron tip sits correctly and safely.

Care and Cleaning

• Disconnect the product from the mains before each cleaning.

• Do not use any aggressive cleaning agents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions as

they can cause damage to the housing and malfunctioning.

• Clean the product with a dry, bre-free cloth.

Disposal

Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the house-

hold waste. At the end of its service life, dispose of the product in accordance with

applicable regulatory guidelines.
