
Application range
Use in the automotive sector, for example in the bonding/sealing of
models, caravans, flanges, axles, water/oil pumps, front covers, sumps,
valve covers, sunroofs, lamp housings, bodywork parts and doors. Use in
industrial areas, for example in the bonding/sealing of worktops and
outdoor applications in the construction of fireplaces or baking ovens.
Storage & Durability
Store in cool, dry and dark at +5 °C to +25 °C in unopened original
packaging, maximum 12 months shelf life. A higher storage
temperature leads to a significantly lower durability and can lead to
damage of the cartridge. The storage temperature must not be lower
than +5 ° C.
Advantages
● No negative effects on electrical/electronic components
● Good adhesion also on metals; copper compatible
● Neutral cross-linking: no corrosion of metallic surfaces,
therefore suitable for use on acid-sensitive substrates
● Compensation of stresses between the parts to be joined which
occur due to changing thermal stress and different coefficients
of expansion
● Less swelling than standard silicones
● Permanently temperature-resistant: minimal change in
mechanical properties in long-term test at 200 °C; minimal
weight loss
Restrictions on use
● Cannot be recoated
● The term coating compatible is referred to contact
surfaces/fusion faces, which meet previously painted and
already dried surfaces. Due to the high number of coating
systems on the market, it is recommended to carry out
compatibility tests.
● Not suited for PP, PE, PTFE and bituminous surfaces
● The product should not be used on natural stones such as
marble, granite, quartzite (danger of edge zone
contamination) or as a mirror adhesive.
● Do not use the product in aquariums, with drinking water
or in the food sector.
Application
200ml automatic cartridge: The ready-to-use compressed gas packaging enables simple and precise application without any tools. To apply the
silicone sealant, you only have to turn the head 90° and operate the lever.
80ml cartridge: The processing tappet incl. Internal dosing syringe is already mounted on the cartridge. Thus, the cartridge is prepared directly for
the application. An additional dispensing gun is not needed.
On a clean, grease- and dust-free surface, a good adhesion can be achieved to a wide range of paints, metals, glass, mirrors, ceramics and
various plastics without using a primer. Due to the large number of different substrates, adhesion values should initially be determined by a trial.
Apply the material with a suitable dosing aid and process with the counter material within the skin forming time. The thickness should be adjusted
to the expected maximum forces and joint movements. A fixation of the bond until hardening is recommended. Curing depends on layer
thickness, temperature and humidity. Use Toolcraft Blacksil Silicon to clean unintentionally contaminated material immediately after use with
CLEANER.
