10. Maintenance and cleaning
a) General information
Clean the product carefully to ensure that it functions properly and to prolong its lifespan.
This product does not contain any components that require maintenance, therefore never attempt to open or disas-
semble it (apart from the steps described in these instructions). Repair and maintenance work (including opening
the product) must be done by a technician or specialist repair centre.
Before cleaning the stapler or carrying out any maintenance work, disconnect the stapler from the charger, and then
unplug the charger from the mains socket.
Dust can be removed using a clean long-haired brush and a vacuum cleaner or a compressed air can.
Use a dry, clean and lint-free cloth to clean the exterior of the product.
Do not use any aggressive chemicals or cleaning agents. These can discolour the plastic surface or damage the
lettering. Never clean the product with abrasive detergents, alcohol, petrol, spirits or other similar liquids.
b) Removing jammed staples
Switch the stapler off using the on/off switch (2) (“O” = off).
Press the sides of the slider (1) together (see image in section 6). Pull out the slider as far as it will go (see section
8 a).
Remove all of the staples.
If necessary, use a pair of pliers to remove the jammed staple. Do not use any force.
Do not insert bent or damaged staples into the stapler.
