8. Operation
a) Inserting staples into the stapler
Caution!
Start by switching off the stapler using the on/off switch (2) (“O” = off).
• Press the sides of the slider (1) together (see A). Pull out the slider as far as it will go (see B).
• Place the staples into the staple compartment (6) (see C, D).
Ensure that the stapler is pointing upwards to prevent the sta-
ples from falling out.
Only use type 53 or 530 staples (see right-hand image for staple
dimensions).
Never insert other types of staples into the stapler. Do not use
damaged or bent staples. Do not insert single staples, otherwise
they may become jammed inside the stapler.
Do not use different types of staples at the same time.
You can only insert a limited number of staples into the stapler.
Do not force the staples into the staple compartment.
• Press the slider back into the stapler until it clicks into place.
