9. Desoldering/extraction
Place the desoldering gun in the stand during heating up, cooling down and breaks.
When desoldering, always make sure that the conductor paths are not heated up for too long, otherwise
they may detach from the carrier material.
• Switch on the station and set the desired temperature.
• After setting the desired temperature, the product requires a few seconds until the tip reaches the desired
temperature.
• As soon as the temperature is reached, remove the desoldering gun from the stand.
Risk of burns!
Touch the desoldering gun by the handle only. Never touch the hot tip or the metal shaft.
• For larger soldering joints, increase the temperature to speed up the process.
Only use the highest temperature setting for as long as necessary to avoid overloading the tip.
• Reducethetemperatureduringbreaks.Thissavesenergyandprolongsthelifespanofthetip.
• Make sure that the tip is well coated with tin when taking breaks or before switching the station off.

Do not press the tip into the damp sponge. Never hold the tip against the sponge for too long to prevent
damage to the sponge.

• After you have removed the component, you can suck away the remaining soldering tin. To do this, press the trigger
of the desoldering gun.

an even layer on the tip. This prevents corrosion on the tip.
• Now place the desoldering gun in the stand. Then switch off the station.
Risk of burns!
It takes about 10–15 minutes for the desoldering gun to cool down completely. Do not touch the tip or the
stand during this time.
