If the product should become damaged or defective, dispose of it correctly. You may
need to keep the product at a suitable outdoor location for a prolonged period to
allow any residual gas still contained in the product to escape. Ensure that there
is sufcient ventilation. Keep a distance to any open res or ignition sources. This
can result in a re or explosion! Keep a safe distance from ammable objects. This
constitutes a re hazard!
The product must not be operated, lled or stored in areas where explosive, easily
ammable materials, combustible gases, vapours, dust, or inammable liquids
(solvents, alcohol, petrol, etc.) are stored or could be stored. There is the risk of
explosion or re!
Do not puncture the product.
Protect the product from dirt and damp. This will lead to damage to the product or
corrosion.
Only move the product when it has completely cooled down. There is a danger of
burns and re! The same applies to storing the product.
The product may be transported or stored only in an upright position (foot down,
nozzle up).
For use in commercial institutions, the accident prevention regulations of the
employer’s liability insurance company are to be observed.
In schools, educational facilities, hobby and DIY workshops, the product must be
operated under the supervision of qualied personnel.
Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. This may become
dangerous playing material for children.
If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, stop using it and prevent
unauthorized use. Safe operation can no longer be guaranteed if the product:
- is visibly damaged,
- is no longer working properly,
- has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions or
- has been subjected to any serious transport-related stresses.
Always handle the product carefully. Jolts, impacts or a fall even from a low height
may damage the product.
Consult an expert when in doubt about operation, safety or connection of the device.
Maintenance, modications and repairs are to be performed exclusively by an expert
or at a qualied shop.
If you have questions which remain unanswered by these operating instructions,

b) Filling
Only ll the product after it has cooled down completely. Otherwise there is a danger
of explosion!
If the hot-gas burner is damaged, it must not be relled! This can result in a re or
explosion!
Fill your product only with commercially available lighter gas and only in a well-
ventilated environment. Avoid open ames when lling the product. There is a risk
of explosion!
When lling, observe the safety and operating instructions of the gas cartridge
manufacturer.
Stop the lling process immediately if gas escapes. A gas-air mixture could arise
which could explode. Make sure that the room has been well ventilated before you
ignite the product or other sources of ignition.
Once lled, the product contains highly ammable gas under pressure. It must
therefore be kept away from heat sources, heat (> +40 °C) or direct sunlight.
Otherwise there is a danger of explosion!
Never remove or open the lling valve to allow gas to escape. This can result in a
re or explosion!
c) Operation
Only hold the product by the grip. Always hold it so the ame nozzle points away from
you. Always hold it so that the grip points downward.
Keep the product away from your body and clothing while igniting and during
operation.
Never reach into the open ame! Never touch the hot metal parts of the hot-gas
burner! This will cause serious burns!
Never leave the product unattended during use. This constitutes a re hazard!
Note that depending on the ambient lighting, the ame may be only poorly visible
or not visible at all.
During breaks or to let it cool, place the product on a stable, level surface. Make sure
that it cannot tip over or fall off the surface. This constitutes a re hazard!
Always ignite the ame for no more than 15-20 minutes at any one time; otherwise,
the housing of the hot-gas burner could heat up excessively. There is a danger of
burning!
Never ignite liquid or gaseous fuels (e.g. benzines, spirits, etc.) with the product.
There is a risk of explosion!
Depending on the activity for which you use the product, suitable protective
equipment and observation of additional safety precautions are necessary.
Many materials give off biohazardous or even toxic vapours when heated. If
necessary, use a suitable venting system or ventilate sufciently.
Never try to cool down the product using water or other liquids. This will cause
damage to the product.

Filling
The product is shipped unlled for safety reasons. When using for the rst time, you must rst ll
the tank before using the product.
Only use commercial lighter gas (isobutane gas) to ll the tank. Suitable rell cartridges
for this purpose are available for purchase (e.g. in 250 ml cans). If in doubt, consult a
specialist.
Never ll the product with other gases/uids. Never use unsuitable cartridges or hose
connections when lling! There is a great risk of re or explosion!
Fill the gas tank only in a well ventilated environment and avoid naked ames. There is
a risk of explosion!
Only ll the product after it has cooled down completely.
To ll, proceed as follows:
Turn the hot-gas burner so the lling valve (6) points vertically upwards.
Hold the lling tip of the lighter gas cartridge vertically downwards and stick it into the lling valve.
If necessary, use a suitable adapter (usually supplied with the lighter gas cartridge).
Then press the lling tip of the lighter gas cartridge against the lling valve. The liqueed gas now
ows into the gas tank. End the lling procedure after 2 to 3 seconds. This lling process can be
repeated 2 or 3 times.
Stop the lling process immediately if any gas escapes. A gas-air mixture could arise
which could explode. Make sure that the room has been well ventilated before you
ignite the product or other sources of ignition.
Wait at least 3 minutes after lling before using the product to allow the gas rell to
stabilise.
Operation
a) Preparation
Hold the product so the ame nozzle (2) points away from you. Also hold it so that the grip (7)
points downward.
Remove the cap (1).
Slide the gas volume regulator (3) to the right.
Turn the locking ring (4) clockwise. This unlocks the push button (5).
b) Igniting the ame
Press the push button (5) and hold it down rmly. Escaping gas is now ignited by the integrated
piezo ignition. The ame should begin burning.
If only gas comes out and no ame, let go of the push button and press it again.
c) Flame size setting
You can adjust how much gas comes out and how large the ame is by using the gas volume
regulator (3).
Slide the regulator to the right (+) to increase the gas volume. The ame will be bigger.
Slide the regulator to the left (–) to reduce the gas volume. The ame will be smaller.
d) Turning off, ending operation
Release the push button (5). The gas valve closes and the ame goes out.
Turn the locking ring (4) counterclockwise. This locks the push button.
e) Continued use
Use the locking lever (8) to activate continuous operation. Even if the push button (5) is released,
the ame will still burn.
Proceed as follows:
Press and hold the push button.
Slide the locking lever to the right (LOCK position).
Release the push button. The ame continues to burn.
To extinguish the ame, slide the locking lever to the left (OFF position).
Troubleshooting
Flame does not burn or goes out immediately.
Slide the gas volume regulator (3) to the right before pressing the push button (5). Only after a
successful ignition should you adjust the desired ame intensity.
If the regulator is turned too far to the left, too little gas comes out and a ammable mixture will
not form.
The gas tank is empty and must be relled.
The push button for the ignition function cannot be pressed:
Turn the push button lock clockwise. This unlocks the push button.
Gas comes out during lling:
Use the right adapter during lling. Normally, this is provided with every lighter gas cartridge.
Care and cleaning
Allow the product to cool down completely before cleaning.
Never use aggressive detergents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions, as these could
damage the casing or cause the product to malfunction.
Use a dry, lint-free cloth to clean the product.
Disposal
Always dispose of the product according to the relevant statutory regulations.
