• Oil the drum shaft, gear mechanism and bearings every six months.
• Every 1000 cycles, check all wearing parts such as the rope, chain, hook, belts and brake linings.
• Before each use, check that the emergency off switch (9) and push buttons (6/7) are working properly.
• Checkthatbrakesystemevery1000cycles.Ifthemotor(2)makesunusualsoundsorfailstolifttheload,thebrake
system may need to be repaired.
- Replacedamagedorwornpartsandretainallrepairdocumentation.
- If the appliance needs to be repaired, contact an authorized repair centre for assistance.
b) Maintenance
• Checkthehoistforsignsofwearandtearatleastonceayear.
The rope (12) should be checked every 30 cycles to ensure that it is in good condition (see
diagram). If individual strands are broken or damaged, the rope must be replaced with a
ropethatconformstothespecicationsinthe"Technicaldata"section.
Checkperiodicallytoverifythattheropeisingoodcondition.Iftherearesignsofdamage
or wear and tear (as shown in the diagram), the rope must be replaced at a specialist repair
centre.
• Checkperiodicallytoverifythattheretainingscrews,clampsandgearunitaresecurelyinplace.
• Checkperiodicallytoverifythatthenutsfortheropeclamparesecureandintact.
• Checkperiodicallytoverifythatthemotorswitches(up/downbuttonsandsafetyswitches)arefunctioningproperly.
• Checkperiodicallytoverifythatallmovingparts(includingthehook,drumaxis,gearmechanismandshaft)are
well-lubricated / oiled.
