Inserting/replacing batteries
• The linen tester requires two CR1216 batteries.
Batteries are already inside the battery compartment to start the linen tester for the rst time. A
plastic strip protects the batteries from discharging prematurely.
Pull out the plastic strip and the linen tester is ready to start.
• A battery change is required as soon as the brightness of the LED light decreases signicantly or the LEDs
are not lit when the device is switched on.
• Slide the battery cover above the LEDs in the direction of the folding joint to change the battery.
• Replace the two empty batteries with new type CR1216 batteries. Please pay attention to the correct
polarity (observe plus/+ and minus/-) when inserting the battery. An appropriate illustration is inside the
battery compartment.
• Close the battery compartment again.
Operation
• Fold the stand with the integrated scale by 270° up to the stop. Then swing the magnifying glass also
270° up to the stop.
• Put the linen tester on the desired surface that you want to view with the magnifying glass.
• Use the sliding switch on the back to switch the LEDs on or off (“ON” = switched on, “OFF” = switched off).
• On each side of the base you will nd a scale, divide into 1 mm and 1/8 “per tick mark.
• Use the thumb wheel on the side to mark a scale position.
• If you no longer need the linen tester, fold it back (rst fold the magnifying glass, then the stand) and put
it in the storage bag included.
Cleaning
• Always turn off the linen tester prior to cleaning.
• Use a dry, soft, lint-free cloth to clean the product.
• Never use abrasive cleaning agents, cleaning alcohol or other chemical solutions, since these could dam-
age the housing or even impair operation.
• Do not press hard on the linen tester to avoid scratch marks.
Disposal
a) Product
Electronic devices are recyclable material and do not belong in the household waste. Dispose of
an unserviceable product in accordance with the relevant statutory regulations.
Remove the batteries that may be inserted and dispose of them separately from the product.
b) Batteries/rechargeable batteries
As the end user, you are required by law (Battery Ordinance) to return all spent batteries/rechargeable bat-
teries; disposal of them in the household waste is prohibited.
Batteries/rechargeable batteries contain harmful materials and are labelled with the symbol
shown to indicate that disposal in the household waste is forbidden. The symbols of the critical
heavy metals are: Cd=cadmium, Hg=mercury, Pb=lead (the marking can be seen on the battery/
rechargeable battery, e.g., underneath the refuse bin symbol shown on the left).
You can return your used batteries/rechargeable batteries free of charge at the ofcial collection points of
your community, in our stores, or at places where batteries or rechargeable batteries are sold.
That way you full your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment!

Thread counter with LED 6x
Item no. 1511639
Intended use
The product is used by means of the integrated magnifying glass within quality control of substances, print
products (writing/graphic quality, etc.) or similar. By ways of the folding mechanism and the xed distance
between magnifying glass and surface a xed magnication (6x) is achieved.
Different scales (subdivision in 1 mm or 1/8”) allow for the determination of distances or dimensions.
As a special feature, two white LEDs are installed, which illuminate the surface make testing also in poor
light conditions possible.
The operation of the product requires two batteries of the type CR1216 (included).
