Safety Guide
Please keep this reference guide in a safe place as it contains important
information about the product and its use. Please read all safety instructions
before using the Starter Set. Boxine GmbH and its suppliers assume no
responsibility for any damage or loss resulting from the use of this guide.

WARNING: All Tonies contain inaccessible, strong magnets. Please keep
them away from medical components such as defibrillators, shunts or
pacemakers as well as from magnetic sensitive products such as magnetic
data carriers, credit cards or computers.
WARNING: The charger cord could be a strangulation hazard. Not
suitable for children under 3 years of age.
WARNING: All packing materials, such as tape, plastic sheets, removeable
tags and desiccant are not part of this toy and should be discarded for your
child’s safety.
Battery notice
The batteries in the device, which allow the portable use of the Toniebox
are not removable. Replacement of the batteries by the user is therefore
not permitted. Opening the box will void the warranty.
Safety instructions
Please note that the Toniebox is an audio device with complicated
technology inside. The Toniebox is designed for use at home and is not
splash- or drip-proof. Keep the unit out of direct sunlight and away from
any direct heat sources. Do not drop the unit on hard surfaces and do
not expose the unit to excess moisture or immerse it in water.
Safety instructions for using the charger
CAUTION: The charger consists of the AC adapter and the charging
station. The Toniebox should only be operated with the charger provided
(included in the starter set), which is a special adapter for toys. Misuse of
the charger may result in an electric shock. The charger must be checked
regularly for conditions such as damage to the cord, plug, casing and other
components that may result in the risk of fire, electric shock or injury to
persons. The charger must not be cleaned with liquids. The Toniebox must be
disconnected from the charger before cleaning. The charger is not a toy and
should therefore only be used by adults. This is under the full responsibility
of the parents. When connecting it to the outlet, please ensure that the
plug is close enough and easy to reach. The charging station is a passive
component and is only to be used with the Toniebox. As with all electric
products, precautions should be observed during handling and use to prevent
electric shock. The AC adapter may become warm during normal use. Always
allow adequate ventilation to the AC adapter and use care when handling the
charger. We are not responsible for the operation of third-party accessories
or their compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The charger may
not be replaced by a third party charger. If the cord is damaged, dispose
of the charger in accordance with your local electric product recycling
regulations.
CAUTION: Routinely check this toy for proper and safe condition. If there
is any damage or broken parts, do not use toy any longer.
Care instructions
Please keep these instructions in mind to prolong the life of your Toniebox.
The Toniebox must be disconnected from the charger before cleaning.
Clean the material and top side of the Toniebox regularly with a damp
microfiber cloth. Please do not use solvents, chlorides or chemical cleaning
agents. Little footprints left by the Tonies on the top of the box can be
removed with a plain-colored eraser. After that you can clean the area
with a damp microfiber cloth.
