About My Vehicle
Important: Route planning for a specific vehicle type is available only when a truck map is installed.
If a truck map is not installed, a car route is planned instead.
My Vehicle lets you choose the type of vehicle you are driving so that the route planned by your
device is suitable for your vehicle.
Each vehicle type has adjustable settings for dimensions, weight and maximum speed. Routes
planned by your device avoid restrictions for the vehicle type, and take into account the vehicle's
specific settings. The following list shows you some examples of route restrictions:
A route calculated for a van may be different from the route calculated for a car because of
weight or height restrictions.
A truck may be only permitted to drive on certain roads through a city.
A route planned for a large vehicle, for example Bus, Truck or Other, favours major roads,
assumes you are travelling at a lower average speed and also selects routes without sharp turns.
Important: You must pay attention to all traffic signs, especially those relating to your vehicle’s
dimensions and weight. We cannot guarantee you will never encounter them on your route and
ignoring such restrictions can be dangerous and illegal.
Setting your vehicle type
You can set your vehicle's type and specific settings so that the route planned by your device is
suitable for your vehicle. If you want to use your TRUCKER in another type of vehicle, just change
the vehicle type and settings.
Note: On some navigation devices you are asked to set your vehicle profile when you start your
device for the first time.
1. Select Settings in the Main Menu, then select My Vehicle.
The My Vehicle screen is shown.
2. Select Vehicle Type then select your vehicle type from the list shown.
