preferences
Select this button to set what happens when your device starts.
You can change the start-up screen by using a photo or image of your
choice.
You can also change other preferences such as whether you want to be asked
about sharing your information with TomTom each time the device starts.
13.24 Show compass
Show compass
Select this button to show or hide the compass.
The arrow always points towards north and the direction you are moving is
shown at the top of the compass.
13.25 Set clock

Select this button to select the time format.
As soon as you have a GPS x, the time will be set automatically. If you don’t
have a GPS x, you can choose to set the time manually.
13.26 Show tips
Show tips
When using your navigation device, the system displays tips to help you to
get the best use of the functions.
You can switch tips off by selecting ”Hide tips”, and switch them on again by
selecting ”Show tips”.
